Toyota installs an unintended acceleration process

Honda Civic Hybrid, the action class that couldn't

Slogans and symbols do not make great cars

The symbol of Michelin tyres is a fat man soft tires stacked one over the other. What is the connection between this symbol and Michelin tires? The connection has been lost over the years. The symbol for the Ford Mustang is the wild horse and this makes more sense until you have taken to the concessionaire of a dozen times and then a basket of lemons can be a better symbol.

Since 1987, Norman Taylor & Associates has dealt with thousands of faulty vehicles. The California lemon law is all about the defects. As consumers, we want the best. We believe the slogans. But when our engine blows and experience the terror of trying to reach the side of the freeway without becoming a hood ornament on a semi, our last thought is, "I'm not worried. RECALL: 2011 Hyundai Sonata

We Californians have sort of a lot of things. For example, we have great weather, large landscape trees, Disneyland, Yosemite, redwood and sequoia, an abundance of outdoor activities, just to name a few. We are blessed to have the California lemon law.

California lemon law is undoubtedly the most successful lemon law in all 50 United States. Unlike most States, California law poses strict limits of time in which a vehicle may be considered a lemon. A lemon California case can be based on the warranty repairs irrespective of when these repairs occurred or no matter how many miles on the vehicle. The only limitation is that California should be presented cases within four years from the date of breach of warranty.

On the other hand, the lemon law in Arizona (Arizona revised statutes §§ 44-1261 to 1267) requires that a case should be based on the story of repair of the vehicle during the warranty period or within the first 24 months or 24000 km, whichever is shorter. Although lemon law of Arizona to provide consumers with some protection, it is no consolation to those unfortunate people whose vehicles begin to experience problems after 24 months or 24000 miles. This is especially so since most manufacturers provide at least 36 months, 36000 mile warranties.

We have all heard the saying that take your car to the dealer for repair is like going to the doctor. Once you get there, the problem seems to go away. Or does it?

As we have seen an exponential development of computer technology in the last ten years, the use of electronic monitoring by automakers failures became commonplace in today's technologically advanced cars. GM RECALL: 2010 Cadillac SRX

According to recalls.gov, General Motors issued a recall on its sport utility vehicles Cadillac SRX 2010 manufactured in December 2009. Power steering hose may have been damaged during mounting. A crimp in the hose may have negatively affected the line.

EXTENDED WARRANTY or service contract? To buy or not buy?

In these difficult economic times, most consumers are counting on their vehicles to last longer. Everyday leasing 24 months or consumers changing cars three years going into oblivion. As a result, consumers are often ask us if they should buy an "extended warranty" in conjunction with the purchase of new vehicles. His desire is to be protected against the cost of repairs to the vehicle as it gets beyond the original factory warranty. The first thing that a consumer must understand is that when they buy a contract to cover the cost of repairs beyond the original factory warranty that is usually not a "guarantee". It is also important for consumers to understand that when a vehicle has defects during the warranty period, they may be protected by lemon law in your state. It confers the right to a refund of your purchase price of the vehicle or a replacement vehicle that meet specific requirements of State lemon law.

On the other hand, the California Supreme Court decided that a service contract does not give consumers full lemon law rights should a vehicle have problems covered by the contract of service. The consumer would be limited to damages for breach of contract, which may include the costs of repairs. But, that does not allow a consumer to obtain a refund or replacement of your vehicle to a service contract.

Some tips to help you make your decision whether to purchase a service contract.

(For example, problems of braking, steering problems, delaying, fire danger etc.) These faults can be discovered by drivers or manufacturer itself. YOU DON'T NEED TO HAVE POSSESSION OF THE VEHICLE TO QUALIFY FOR THE CALIFORNIA LEMON LAW REMEDIES

On March 2, 2011, the District Court's appeal ahead of California ruled in Martinez v. Kia Motors America, Inc. that the lemon law Califonia (song-Beverly consumer Warranty Act) does not require consumers to California to take possession of a lemon vehiclein order to qualify for the California lemon law remedies. Martinez, the consumer was denied warranty coverage for a Kia. The vehicle was recovered by the creditor and the consumer subsequently filed a lawsuit against Kia claiming restitution remedies under California's lemon law. Kia argued on appeal that to qualify for the California lemon law remedies of restitution, the consumer must have possession of the vehicle. The Court disagreed, noting that the specific language of the California lemon law does not require that a consumer of California have possession of the vehicle lemon to qualify for the California lemon law remedies. The consumer only needs to prove the basic elements of a credit of California lemon law for entitlement to compensation. Once met the basic elements of lemon law claim of California, the manufacturer has a duty immediately to provide the consumer the California lemon law remedies. Therefore, any consumer of California that do not have possession of a lemon vehicle, however, may be eligible for the California lemon law damages.

CA Lemon Law: extended warranty

If you bought an "extended warranty" thinking that you have the same rights of appeal under the lemon law, CA like you did with your original warranty, think again.
